FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TYPES

CONVENTIONAL SYSTEMS

These systems are wired in such a way to suit the zoning of a building and can identify any activation to an area or "Zone" within a building.

These types of system are common in smaller less complex properties.

ADDRESSIBLE SYSTEMS

These systems are more intelligent and the devices individually addressed allowing the ability to pin point an activation and track the spread of a fire.

These types of system are usually for larger more complex properties or higher risk systems.

Manually Operated

These systems are manually operated on activation of a call Point.

L
Automatic Fire Detection L1-L5

Automatic Fire Detection is fitted in addition to Manual Call Points. The Level of Detection (L1 to L5) will vary depending on the design.

P
Property Protection P1-P2

These systems are designed to protect the property and Manual call points are not essential. The extent of cover can vary from the whole premises P1 to part premises P2. All P systems require critical path Fire Alarm Monitoring.
